I come from a science background and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology (BSc ICT) from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, graduating in 2023. I began my career in 2019 as a freelance web developer. During my final year of studies, I transitioned into UX design and started working professionally as a UX designer.

Product Designer | Sling Mobility (Pvt) Ltd

Responsibilities:

  • Drove the full product design lifecycle for web and mobile, from problem discovery and UX planning to UI execution and release validation through design QA.
  • Ran continuous discovery using stakeholder sessions, user feedback reviews, and usability testing to uncover friction points and validate design decisions.
  • Simplified complex operational and finance heavy processes into clear information architecture, role based journeys, and efficient task flows.
  • Built and refined scalable UI components and reusable patterns to improve consistency across products and accelerate delivery.
  • Partnered with product, engineering, and operations to shape requirements, align priorities, and ensure designs supported business outcomes.
  • Delivered high fidelity prototypes, interaction specs, and developer ready documentation to enable smooth handoffs and iterative implementation.

Key Achievements:

  • Reduced EV battery swapping task time by redesigning critical flows and interaction steps, cutting completion time from over one minute to under 45 seconds.
  • Launched an in app subscription and payment flow for battery packages, improving engagement and enabling a new revenue stream through Km based plans.
  • Designed an internal command center web tool that replaced Excel based operational workflows, improving efficiency in energy and battery management.
  • Improved the EV charging app experience by resolving key usability and accessibility gaps, supporting better adoption and smoother in app journeys.
  • Delivered a tailored accounting platform for condominium stakeholders, replacing spreadsheets and improving accuracy, clarity, and control over payment and finance tracking.

UX Designer | 360 Digital (Pvt) Ltd

Responsibilities:

  • Designed and optimized ecommerce and travel booking websites by improving user journeys, navigation structure, checkout flows, and conversion focused interfaces.
  • Conducted UX research and competitor benchmarking to identify opportunities, validate assumptions, and support design choices with evidence.
  • Produced wireframes, user flows, clickable prototypes, and high fidelity responsive UI tailored to client needs and brand standards.
  • Worked directly with clients and internal teams to define requirements, communicate design rationale, and refine solutions through feedback cycles and testing insights.
  • Supported startups with research driven digital strategy, helping them organize offerings, improve content structure, and enhance overall customer experience.
